James Cameron Regaining Rights To ‘Terminator’

The Terminator franchise is one of the most iconic action staples of all time, but it’s had a rough couple of decades. However, if you’ve been waiting for a time-travelling postapocalyptic killer robot return to form, now’s the time to start pricking up your ears. James Cameron regains the rights to the property in 2019 when his copyright reversion goes into effect and he’s already got his eye on a new iteration.

Per Deadline, Cameron is “godfathering” a new incarnation of the film with Deadpool director Tim Miller in early talks to helm what the report calls “a reboot and a conclusion of one of cinema’s great science fiction tales.” David Ellison, the Skydance boss who co-financed Terminator: Genisys, is working with top science fiction authors to “find the movie creatively”, which is a bit vague but sounds like it might be a writer’s room. There are no details yet on whether the new Terminator movie would be a reboot or a direct sequel.

Review: The Last Kingdom (The Saxon Series #1) by Bernard Cornwell

Random Book Muses

68527F’ing hell what a book. What in the world am I to read next as I can’t jump into book 2 right away. I need to savour this series and my beloved warrior, Uhtred Ragnarson…

That was all I could write when I finished this book and attempted to do a review. Really…I was just overwhelmed…now it has been several weeks and I still don’t know what to say…

Here is part of a conversation I had with with a mate when she told me she didn’t like historical reads:
—————————————————————————-
Really isn’t that different than some of the other stuff you’ve read honestly…except some of it is based on fact…King Alfred the great, the Danes and some of the battles…but people are people no matter the time…

Basically a young orphaned boy that discovers what it feels to loved and valued for the first time in the enemy’s camp…later…

Han Solo Spin-Off Release Possibly Moving To December

You may have noticed that the past two winters have been absolutely dominated by Star Wars — and we have every reason to believe Episode VIII will repeat the trick in 2017.

As of right now, Phil Lord and Chris Miller‘s untitled Han Solo movie is still on the calendar for May 25, 2018. However, Making Star Wars has heard from inside sources that Disney is now eyeing a December 13, 2018 release date for the film.

Personally, I’ve liked the annual tradition of having Star Wars movies open in December. It feels like one last treat to look forward to as the year wraps up, and Star Wars movies tend to make good outings for the whole family — everyone from your 80-year-old grandma to your five-year-old nephew is likely to be familiar with the franchise. It also makes Christmas shopping really, really easy thanks to the surfeit of tie-in merchandise, at least if your loved ones like Star Wars. I’d be a bit disappointed to have to wait a few extra months to see Lord and Miller’s Han Solo spinoff, but with Avengers: Infinity War and The Incredibles 2coming out that summer, I should have plenty to keep me busy anyway.
