While the ‘Fast and Furious’-franchise has turned into a popculture phenomenon in the past years, having become a balancing act between heist-based thrills and espionage, the main focus on these movies still lies on the cars, the franchise title hints on.
With every movie, the amount of cars, as well as the costs of each vehicle, has increased and this development will not change with ‘Fast and Furious 8’. Altogether, the value of the vehicles that are going to be used totals up to roughly $17 million — and I have a feeling that not all of these cars will make it through the film without some scratches and bruises.
As you can see from the Facebook Live video (presented by Vehicle Coordinator Dennis McCarthy), the Fast & Furious 8 prodcution has spared no expense when it comes to exciting a petrol head.
Dom Toretto and the rest of his crew will race their way into theaters for the eighth time on April 14, 2017. The movie will be directed by F. Gary Gray, who showed his skills for directing heist movies with ‘The Italian Job’, as well as his abilities for a milieu comparable to ‘F&F’ with 2015’s ‘Straight Outta Compton’.
I find it mind boggling how they keep getting better at the same old s**t! Really confuses the cinephile in me.
